I won't reveal the locations or the mobs to get the required mats to craft soft brass here (and maybe I'm missing some...?), but is there anything that could be done to make soft brass a bit more interesting to get? Like maybe a revamp of the whole soft brass mats and/or how they are acquired? They are in quite a lot of recipes and even a mat to craft indestructable platinum (15 of them for 1).
I'm not really contesting the time required (even though it's rough), but to craft a chestplate legendary armors for example (blacksmith related), there is a need of 3250 puppydog tails (that don't stack), 1625 brasswire and 1625 silica dust just for one piece, which is really crazy when you know how/where these mats are acquired, how long it takes and how boring it is (sorry but I had to say it hehe), especially puppydog tails and brasswire but silica dust also isn't that great, the 3 combined makes it a bit too much. For now I'm avoiding like the plague anything related to it.
I don't mind a challenge at all, on the contrary I would like more difficult stuff (but not crazy one hitting monsters that absolutely require you to get a bio with 100 all res to expect to survive more than 1 second, I have one but it shouldn't be a requirement like it is for some monsters, hard doesn't have to mean one hit garantee hehehe), but all these mats are not hard to get per say. They are all loot from really easy monsters, like a fresh player could kill them easily which is weird, the "best armors" are made from them, which I think they aren't really (the best) for a good amount but that is another story (lack of stats bonus, hit points, DCI, HCI etc., skill boost is nice but a lot are useless). They are just very low drop rate, which is, to me, really boring. I like how uber clothes are handled for example, there is an easy/slow way (kind of) and a hard/faster way (which actually pays if you can survive). Maybe we could get something like that but for soft brass related things? I suggested paragon/super champs in another thread, but really, anything would do. ;-)
Thanks for reading, sorry if it covered a bit more areas that I wanted in the first place, but a point gets to another rather quick in this game.
(little parenthesis but blood gems aren't obtainable anymore except from halloween tokens, or I'm missing something and the library could use an update about that hehe)
